1.Navigation - Map, Compass, etc
2. Sun Protection- Sunscreen, Sunglasses, Lip balm, Hat
3. Insulation- Jacket, pants, vest, gloves, hat, etc.
4. Illumination- Flashlight, extra batteries
5. First Aid Kit
6. Fire- Matches, lighter, water-proof container, fire-starter
7. Repair kit and tools- Knife and/or Multi-tool, repair kits for stove, sleeping pad, duct tape
8. Nutrition- extra days food, or high calorie snacks
9. Hydration- Walter bottles/water reservoirs (Camelback) and water purification system
10. Emergency Shelter- Tarp, Tent, Bivy or emergency blanket
